Lady Eagles and Parents:  Welcome.  We are looking forward to seeing familiar faces and welcoming new players and their families to HCYA Lady Eagles Volleyball.

If you are interested in playing with HCYA volleyball for the 2011 season,
please plan on attending the pre-season meeting

Enter bulding through double doors under the first awning upon entering the parking lot.

 

  • If you are a returning player, please plan to attend.
  • If you are a new player, please plan to attend.
  • If you are a parent (mom AND dad) of a player, please plan to attend.
  • If you aren't sure if you will play for the 2011 season, but have questions, please plan to attend.
  • If you need to bring siblings, that is fine. They are welcome to quietly attend the meeting.

 

Remember to print out and bring the HCYA registration packet.

The HCYA volleyball program strives to develop Christian character and leadership in team members both on and off the court.  The teams are coached by knowledgeable and competent coaches who are dedicated to teaching the skills needed for competitive volleyball, but who also demonstrate and encourage Christian values and sportsmanship.  The HCYA Lady Eagle Volleyball program is directed by Mrs. Mary Schulze  ( )

 

The HCYA Organization

HCYA (Homeschool Christian Youth Association) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation established in 1989 to promote opportunities in sports, academics, and social activities for homeschool students.

Participation
 
  • Competitive Volleyball
  • No set amount of time is promised or guaranteed for games
  • Grades 5 – 12
  • No experience necessary
  • All girls will be assigned a team after “tryouts” based on their skill level and age
  • Uniforms provided
  • Games begin in mid-August and the season runs through mid-October. 
  • Compete against public, private & Christian schools, and other homeschool teams
  • At least one tournament per team (hopefully)
  • Cost/Season Fees 2011:

$400.00 High School Team
$300.00 Jr. High Team
  $15.00 HCYA fee     ’10-’11 school year
  $15.00 HCYA fee     ’11-’12 school year

  • **Every player must join the HCYA organization.  This is not an option.  If you have joined through another HCYA organization, such as Sports Day, please complete the form and at the bottom note “joined at Sports Day”.  The $15 HCYA fee is per player.  There is no family rate for membership.
  • Second child discounts of $50 per child on the season fees stated above.
  • Season Fee helps pay for cost of gym rental, coach’s compensation, equipment, t-shirts, uniforms, referee fees, and tournament fees.
  • A payment plan is available:
  • Possible participation in National Homeschool Volleyball Tournament for Varsity team (this requires each player to pay an additional expense of $600 to $700 based on previous trips )
