The HCYA Raptors is a Christian home school rugby organization that focuses on glorifying Christ with the talents and gifts he has given us through competitive rugby. Players compete in a manner that strives to maintain a reputation of integrity and sportsmanship by honoring those in authority and their opponents. Raptors players utilize athletics to nurture spiritual growth and assist in the ongoing development of their Christian character.

The HCYA Raptor rugby program was started by families from Trinity Classical School, a Christian, collaborative, classical school, in the fall of 2022 in partnership with HCYA and the Houston SaberCats for boys in grades 8-12 (ages 13-18).  Our first season was marked by lots of enthusiasm, supportive families, a strong brotherhood of players, and some wins!   Season Two saw us adding a Middle School side of 5th-8th graders and solidifying our High School boys program with a strength and conditioning element.  Our second HS season culminated in a big win at the State Championship game in Dallas, TX on April 27, 2024 against Arlington Martin  (22-12)!  As we enter our 4th season, we are excited to continue building the Raptor family for boys to learn the sport, compete with integrity, build character, and honor God.

HCYA (Homeschool Christian Youth Association) is one of the oldest and largest homeschool support organizations of its kind in Texas and the United States. For over 20 years HCYA has been serving homeschoolers in the greater Houston area with a variety of programs.
